Dear Sir,

I wrote to you some days ago in regard to some quartermaster stores you took by force from Mr. Embry at Williamsport and I have received no answer yet as to what you are going to do in the matter. I wrote to you in Hagerstown. As I told you I have to account for those goods and am held responsible for the same. If I do not get satisfaction for the same, I shall have to report you to Headquarters. You will at once inform me what you will do in the matter. As I am about settling up my matters with the government.
