Original Civil War Document written in period ink. Promotion warrant to sergeant for Wellington Hobbs of the 17th Maine Infantry. Document is signed by Colonel Thomas A. Roberts and Adjutant Charles W. Roberts (Father and Son). Charles W. Roberts was wounded on the second day at Gettysburg and as a result is left leg was amputated
