Friend Sorrell,

I think it may be well to write you a line though perhaps you do not care to hear from me.

Time has passed pleasant to me for the past two months. I am enjoying life first rate.

I wish to know if you ever have heard from North Carolina lately and if any letters have gone to the prison for me. If so, and they are not destroyed, will you send them to me? What can I do for you Bob? Would you like to take the oath and come out? You can let me know if you would and I will do what I can for you.
