"Personal memoirs of U. S. Grant," by Ulysses S. Grant. First Edition, Published by Charles L. Webster & Company, 1885. Two Volumes with a total of 1,231 pages. Volume I is inscribed by Brevet Captain John Allen Bigelow of the 5th Michigan Cavalry. He was wounded and captured at Winchester, VA on September 19, 1864. Page 25 in vol 1 is attached but loose.
