Dear Companies and Children,

It is with pleasure that I again address you a few lines this morning. Although, I received no answer to my letters. I am thankful to be permitted to let you know that I am still well and hope that this may reach you in the enjoyment of the same blessing. I wrote a fortnight ago tomorrow. I had hope that by this time we should have been paroled and sent in our lines. But here we are without knowing when we shall go but I hope for the best. My watch was stolen from me a week ago last Friday night when I was asleep, out of my pocket. I lost it and could not find out the time.

Give my love to all our friends. My love to you all. So goodbye.

E. Jarvis
